Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Hasten Chemical products, services, and ordering. Can’t find your answer? Contact us or call 832-655-7763.
What products does Hasten Chemical supply?
Hasten Chemical is a wholesale supplier of fly ash, cement kiln dust (CKD), lime kiln dust (LKD), activated and reactivated carbon, soil stabilization materials, industrial degreasers, solvents, lubricants, polymers, pharmaceutical ingredients, and specialty chemicals for construction, oil and gas, mining, and manufacturing industries.
Where is Hasten Chemical located?
Hasten Chemical is headquartered in Houston, Texas. We supply products across Texas, Louisiana, and nationwide, with bulk delivery capability to job sites and facilities throughout the region.
Do you deliver to job sites?
Yes. We deliver bulk materials directly to job sites via pneumatic tanker truck, flatbed, and liquid tanker. For the Houston metro area, same-day and next-day delivery is typically available. Statewide and nationwide delivery is coordinated based on project schedules.
What is fly ash and what is it used for?
Fly ash is a fine powder byproduct from coal-fired power plants. It has cementitious and pozzolanic properties that make it valuable as a cement replacement in concrete (improving workability and durability), as a soil stabilization agent (reducing clay plasticity and swell potential), and as a raw material in cement manufacturing. We supply both Class C and Class F fly ash conforming to ASTM C618.
What is cement kiln dust (CKD)?
Cement kiln dust is a fine-grained byproduct from cement manufacturing kilns. It contains calcium oxide and has cementitious properties that make it effective for soil stabilization, base course treatment, waste solidification, and as an agricultural lime substitute. CKD often provides faster strength gain than fly ash in clay soils.
What types of soil stabilization materials do you offer?
We supply fly ash (Class C and Class F), cement kiln dust (CKD), lime kiln dust (LKD), hydrated lime, and custom stabilization blends. The best material depends on your soil conditions — we help you select based on soil testing data (Atterberg limits, sulfate content, grain size) and project specifications.
Do you supply activated carbon?
Yes. We supply granular activated carbon (GAC), powdered activated carbon (PAC), reactivated carbon, and specialty impregnated carbons. Applications include water treatment, air purification, gold recovery, mercury capture, and chemical process purification. We also coordinate spent carbon collection and thermal reactivation.
What minimum order quantity do you require?
Minimum orders vary by product. Bulk pneumatic materials (fly ash, CKD) typically require a minimum of one tanker load (22-25 tons). Packaged products (drums, totes, supersacks) may have lower minimums. Contact us for specific product availability and minimum quantities.
Do you provide certificates of analysis?
Yes. Every shipment includes a certificate of analysis (COA) with relevant test results. For construction materials, this includes chemical composition and physical properties. For pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals, COAs include full analytical results per specification.
Can you source specialty chemicals not listed on your website?
Yes. Our product list covers our most commonly supplied materials, but we source a wide range of industrial and specialty chemicals through our supplier network. If you need a specific chemical product, contact us with the product name, CAS number, specification, and quantity — we will provide availability and pricing.
Do you serve the oil and gas industry?
Yes. We supply production chemicals, process chemicals, pipeline chemicals, industrial degreasers, and specialty products to upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas operations. Our team includes professionals with direct oil and gas operating experience.
What areas do you serve?
We serve customers across Texas (Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Midland-Odessa, and all areas between), Louisiana, Oklahoma, and nationwide by arrangement. Our strongest coverage is in the Gulf Coast region where we maintain local inventory and dedicated delivery resources.
