Industrial Chemicals for Construction Projects

Construction Materials We Supply

Hasten Chemical provides a focused range of construction materials and chemicals that address the most critical needs of Texas contractors, civil engineers, and construction managers:

Fly Ash — Class C and Class F fly ash for ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, soil stabilization, and controlled low-strength material (CLSM). We supply in bulk pneumatic tanker loads directly to batch plants and job sites across Texas.

Cement Kiln Dust (CKD) — For soil stabilization, base course treatment, and waste solidification applications. CKD provides rapid strength gain in clay soils and is often the most cost-effective stabilization option for highway and pad site projects.

Lime Kiln Dust (LKD) — A versatile stabilization agent effective in high-PI clays and wet site conditions. LKD offers similar performance to hydrated lime at a lower material cost.

Soil Stabilization Blends — Custom-blended stabilization products combining fly ash, CKD, lime, and other additives to meet specific project soil conditions and engineering specifications.

Soil Stabilization for Texas Construction

Texas construction faces unique soil challenges that demand effective stabilization solutions:

Expansive clay soils dominate the Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Austin metro areas. These soils have plasticity indices of 30-60+ and can swell 5-10% in volume with moisture changes, causing foundation heaving, pavement distress, and structural damage. Fly ash and CKD stabilization reduces the plasticity index, controls swell potential, and creates a stable platform for construction.

Soft, wet subgrades are common along the Gulf Coast, in river bottoms, and on sites with high water tables. CKD and lime products dry the soil, increase bearing capacity, and allow construction to proceed on sites that would otherwise require expensive over-excavation and imported fill.

Sandy soils in the Permian Basin and coastal areas lack cohesion and bearing capacity for heavy construction. Fly ash stabilization binds the sand particles together, creating a cemented matrix that supports loads without excessive settlement.

Our technical team assists with material selection based on soil testing data (Atterberg limits, grain size analysis, sulfate content) and project specifications. We coordinate with geotechnical engineers to ensure the stabilization program meets design intent.

Serving Texas Contractors Statewide

Hasten Chemical serves construction projects across the state, with particular strength in the markets where soil stabilization demand is highest:

  • Houston metro — Residential, commercial, and industrial development on Gulf Coast clay soils
  • Dallas-Fort Worth — Highway expansion, residential development, and commercial construction on Eagle Ford and Austin chalk formations
  • San Antonio / Austin — Infrastructure development on Central Texas expansive clays and limestone substrates
  • Permian Basin (Midland-Odessa) — Oil field pad sites, access roads, and infrastructure for energy industry construction
  • Coastal Texas — Port facilities, industrial development, and coastal infrastructure on soft marine soils

We understand that construction schedules don’t wait for material suppliers. Our logistics team coordinates delivery timing with your construction sequence, staging material on site when you need it — not a week early taking up space, and not a day late holding up the crew.
